Community Events

"The child is both a hope and a promise for mankind."

Dr. Montessori believed that children cannot learn about the responsibilities of adulthood and citizenship in a void. As educators, we must create opportunities for meaningful community involvement for our young people, situations that foster interaction with diverse individuals and lay the foundation for active, constructive contribution to society beyond Bridges.

School traditions and annual community events are fundamental threads throughout the rich tapestry of the Bridges experience. Year after year our children and families look forward to these events as milestones and rites of passage. Although our events change from year to year, some of the ongoing community outreach and programs we participate in include:

  • Schoolwide assemblies
  • Beach Clean Up
  • Barnes & Noble Book Fairs
  • Harvest Festival
  • Spirit/Theme Days
  • Book Exchange
  • Music Together Family Sing a Long
  • Talent Show
  • Colonial Fair
  • Art Gallery
  • Field Day
  • Volunteer Appreciation Picnic
  • Talent Show
  • Social committee events
