Bridges Montessori is proud of its Montessori philosophy and school history as we continue to pursue the highest standards of excellence. We believe student success is achieved through an individualized, ability-based curriculum.
Established in 1992 with just six students, Bridges Montessori quickly blossomed into an active school community. From the start, we have sought the latest research, innovative ideas, and cutting-edge strategies, incorporating best teaching practices with traditional Montessori methodology. Our new campus opened in 2001, creating an expanded Montessori community for infants – middle school children. Bridges has garnered a solid reputation for academic excellence, and in 2007, we became part of Bright Horizons, the world’s leading provider of child care and early education.
At Bridges Montessori, our philosophy is based on the insight and teachings of Dr. Maria Montessori, which guide us to foster each student’s unique gifts and talents by developing their academic and personal potential; boost compassion and confidence; encourage curiosity and enthusiasm for learning; and more. Our warm and nurturing environment supports cooperation and mutual respect among parents, teachers, administrators, and children.
We are proud to be affiliated with American Montessori Society (AMS) and have exceeded all required AMS standards. We are also accredited by the Association of Independent Schools of Florida (AISF), the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS CASI), and the Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA).
